Umbraco 7.1 no way for accessing blog post's HTML code
Hi as the title clearly says I need to change the html code of my pages and posts directly because I want something which the editor won't do but it doesn't give access and I can just add some picture or text just some simple job.
help :)
What blog package do you have installed? And what code is it you want to change? Is is something that is inserted using the rich text editor or something that is setup in a template? If it's setup in a template you can edit the code by going to the "Settings" section and then expand the "Templates" folder and find the correct template in order to edit the code - If you have access to the "Settings" section of course.
Hi again
my package is Fanoe and my problem is not changing the template, I want to have more control on the content of a post or textpage but I just can add some elements and fill them up.The website is not mine I;m just its administrator. I'm beginning to think that I was wrong installing umbraco.
What should I do?
I think that it might be jumping to conclusions to say that installing Umbraco was wrong - I think that you just need to learn to know Umbraco a bit better so you can figure out how the different parts work together.
To be honest I'm a bit uncertain about what it is you're asking about. But it might help if you could show some screendumps illustrating what it is you want to be able to change perhaps?
Since you mention the Fanoe starter kit I would like to see how you have structured your content in the Umbraco backoffice since it's not a blog-package out of the box. Have you installed other packages or is it just the Fanoe starter kit?

I guess you're probably using the grid editor, which was just introduced with the release of Umbraco 7.2 and which is heavily used in the Fanoe starter kit. So I suggest you have a look at the documentation for the grid editor here http://our.umbraco.org/Documentation/Using-Umbraco/Backoffice-Overview/Property-Editors/Built-in-Property-Editors-v7/Grid-Layout-Best-Practices and here http://our.umbraco.org/documentation/using-umbraco/backoffice-overview/property-editors/built-in-property-editors-v7/Grid-Layout
For a more general introduction to the other concepts in Umbraco I also suggest you give this documentation a read http://our.umbraco.org/documentation/Using-Umbraco/Creating-Basic-Site/ and http://24days.in/umbraco/2014/how-to-set-up-an-umbraco-site/ which covers some of the basic starting points.
Finally...if it's a blogging tool you're after then maybe wordpress is a better fit for getting up and running fast though.
Hope this helps.

Hi I uninstalled fanoe and installed TXT the problem was with the new editor which doesn't have an HTML editor. It's now working well with TxT thanks
Hi Ashkan,
Are you looking to edit the html code that is created via the rich text editor ?
