    After publish Umbraco 7.1.8 on server gives Could not load type error

    Using Umbraco 7

    Hi,

    I have pubished Umbraco 7.1.8 on gearhost.com.  I am using SQLCE database.  When I lauch website I get "Could not load type

    'System.Web.WebPages.DisplayModeProvider' from assembly 'System.Web.WebPages, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35'" error. 

    I have checked MVC related dll version in web.config file; it is correct.  Please let me know how should I solve this problem.

    Hi Sham,

    Did you have the System.Web.WebPages.dll in your bin folder. If you have this then it perhaps could be idea to try to take contact to the gearhost support to make surre that the hosting company meet the system requirements for Umbraco 7 http://our.umbraco.org/documentation/Installation/system-requirements

    Did they have the right dependencies installed, which Umbraco requires to like ASP.NET framework version 4.5 etc.

    So if I was you I will try get in touch with the support of gearhost just to make sure everthing is as to should be to running Umbraco on your domain.
