    Grid layout wonderings...

So just started looking into the new grid layout with v7.2 and has stepped onto the following issues.

How can I enable more grid editors for use in the grid? The docs (http://our.umbraco.org/documentation/using-umbraco/backoffice-overview/property-editors/built-in-property-editors-v7/Grid-Layout) provide som good information but not how to enable say a custom editor such as (http://our.umbraco.org/projects/backoffice-extensions/key-value-editor) for use in the grid.

Renaming a "row" on the data type seams to cause emptying of content data. I created a few "Headline"-rows on a contentpage. When I went to the Grid Layout datatype and changed its name to "Section", the data I put in on my content page had dissapeard (renaming it back to "Headline" brought it back. Is this by design? Perhaps renaming of row configurations ought to be supported? Is there a workaround for this?

    /David W.

    Hi David.

You have seen the documeation for the new grid layout in Umbraco 7.2, in this documentation there is a section on how to build your own property editor. http://our.umbraco.org/documentation/using-umbraco/backoffice-overview/property-editors/built-in-property-editors-v7/Grid-Layout#Buildyourowneditor, in addtion to this perhaps the Umbraco TV chapter about the grid layout can help you http://umbraco.tv/videos/umbraco-v7/implementor/fundamentals/grid-layouts/introduction/

For the renaming a "row" on the data type seams to cause emptying of content data, there has alredy been raised an issue on the issue tracker http://issues.umbraco.org/issue/U4-6102

    Hope this helps,

    /Dennis
