I've checked my username properties (seems to be the only admin feature I can open), and I am set as an administrator..
Hmm, do you see any error messages in your browsers console log? Or in the /App_Data/logs folder on the disk? At a first glance it seems like your permission settings for IUSR and Network service might not be correct?
New Umbraco 7 - no admin links in settings panel
I've installed Umbraco 7.18 via Microsoft Web Platform installer.. It downloaded, installed, and setup correctly from what I can see.
Also downloaded latest stable zip file, and manually setup in IIS.. went though installation, seutp wizard, choosing not to use a starter template, as per https://our.umbraco.org/documentation/Using-Umbraco/Creating-Basic-Site/Getting-Started.. Same issue as below:

Does your server/machine meet the requirments for running Umbraco as well? https://our.umbraco.org/documentation/Installation/system-requirements

So, I cleared my cookies, restarted browser, and everything started working again..
How very strange, but seems ths is solved now!
