I'm working on a event site, must of the users are located on the event, but 10-15% of users are "external".
The main issue is, a very poor internet connection between event site and the real world (rest of the internet).
My plan is to setup 2 servers with identical layout og UIsettings. one on-site at the event to serve the local audiance and one server "in-the-cloud" to serv all the external users...
I need some kind og content replication between the 2 sites, the replication needs to send data from the event server to the external server - replication should run as fast as posible, if internet connection is down, replication should start when conenction is availeble again.
Is there anybody here with practical expirence? is the senario realistic? comment, hints, sugestions are welcome.
I put up a very quick cloudflare test.. NEGATIVE result ;(
The "Offline version" is only a limitied version of the site, and its up-to 2 days old... Our Site shoul publish sports results, so we need a faster and more robust replication than cloudflare can offer.... But their service is worth a try in many other senarios.

Henrik,
A lot of similar services:
http://www.incapsula.com/ looks like the same. http://aws.amazon.com/ru/cloudfront/
http://www.edgecast.com/ http://ngenix.net http://www.maxcdn.com/ http://www.cdn77.com/ http://www.metacdn.com/
But I think it's very hard to do it dynamically and fast replication. Maybe it will be easier to use something like Load Balancer ?
Thanks
is working on a reply...
