So perhaps it's a good idea to avoid setting up the hostname with the weird characters in Umbraco but have the domain 301 redirect to a domain without the weird characters instead - Domains with weird characters can cause other kind of problems too in regards to emails etc.
punycode is not defined

Hi Josh and welcome to our :)
Ehm...what exact version of Umbraco are you using? And does your domain name by any chance contain special characters like "ü", "ö", etc. ?
/Jan
I suspect you have some special characters if I understand this wiki entry correct - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Punycode ? :)

We are running version 7.2.1 and there are no special characters in the domain.
Hi Josh
Hmm, ok then that's really odd - I don't suppose it's something you can post in public?
/Jan
I cannot post to the public but i can tell you it matches this regex.
http:\/\/[a-z]*.[a-z]*.[a-z]*.com\/
i have found this and it look promissing.

Hi Josh
Good find - Perhaps the issue is fixed if you do an upgrade to 7.2.4 then?
/Jan
Upgrading did fix it.
Hi Josh
Good to hear that - Remember to mark the issue as closed so others who may experience the same thing can go straight to the solution.
Happy umbracoing!
