How to easily upgrade multiple U installations?

I dont know if this is the correct place, for this question. Please move it, if nessesary.

    Hello guys!

I am in the process of making a new web product, based on Umbraco and I was wondering, if there is an easy way to upgrade multiple installations in one go?

The installations will be exactly the same, except for the content (text, images etc).

I would like to avoid upgrading every installation manually, if possible, when a new update arrives.

I hope you know a solution.

Thank you for your help and have a happy easter!

    Daniel

    Hi Daniel,

In this case I think that the easiest way to upgrade an Umbraco installation is to use NuGet, then you can upgrade your installation by one comando.

Try to see these blogposts http://umbraco.com/follow-us/blog-archive/2014/11/17/help-test-nuget-upgrades and http://24days.in/umbraco/2014/upgrading-umbraco-using-git/ and this documentation. https://our.umbraco.org/documentation/installation/install-umbraco-with-nuget

    Hope this helps,

    /Dennis

    Hi Daniel

What do you mean by "multiple installations"? Is that multiple Umbraco instances or is it multiple sites in one Umbraco instance? To my knowledge it's not possible to upgrade multiple instances of Umbraco at the same time...like bulk updating.

    Hi Daniel

Yeah, thought so :) - But then I'm afraid that there is no easy way of upgrading multiple instances at once...if all instances are always 100% the same perhaps it might be possible to automate it somehow but I think there are a lot of variables involved and many things that can go wrong if it's doable at all..

Probably not the answer you were hoping for - But that's just what I think :)
