Why is there no option to Select All and delete en masse from the Umbraco backend?
A client decided to wait a few weeks before alerting me of daily blog comment spam. There are 1000s of comments. I need to delete them all (82 pages worth).
I guess I could just delete the code that displays the comments on the page but I rather just remove them all from the database or backend.
If the comments are stored as content nodes in the Umbraco backoffice then I think i would be an idea for you to talk a look at the bulkmanager package from Soeteman Software

Hi rn4j0r,

WIth the bulkmanager package you can do bulk operations such as delete, publish (content only) and unpublish (content only). Here are some videos about how the package works http://soetemansoftware.nl/bulkmanager/videos.
Hope this could be an option.

I ended up making a script in OSX Automator tool to delete them all.
Thanks for the suggestion. I will check it out for future issues.
