Unstructured Dokumentation - Marking each info as valid for Umbarco X - Y
One most anyoying thin within umbraco ist to find documentations, procjects, etc wich are valid for the Umbraco version you are using. You find informations you find projects, but you have allways to be aware of the Umbraco version its meant for.
I would siggest that each info here on our.umbraco can be mark as valid for a range of umbraco versions. Additionaly the search should implement an additional filter for Umbraco versions.
You're absolutely right about that - It is really confusing to figure out whether something you're reading is intended for the particular version of Umbraco you're using. There is a lot of legacy stuff out in the wild and the API documentation is some places only "marked" as v6 even though it's also v7 etc.
But I think that HQ are aware of it and that it will be improved once the new version of this forum is being released - They tried upgrading in february but had to rollback due to some unexpected errors and performance issues. But hopefully it will be rolled out soon.
Are you searching for anything particular that you have doubts about how to achieve? Then please post it as the users in here might be able to help you out and give you some hints or tips along the way.
