    Change CMS Admin URL

    Hi, I have read a few articles about changing the Umbraco CMS admin url to something a little bit more secure but I wondered if anyone had a definitive solution for this. For example I would like to change www.XXX.com/umbraco to www.XXX.com/myadmin. My other question - if I was successful in changing this what would happen when Umbraco release a new update to the CMS?

    Hi Jon,

    Why do you want to chnage the change CMS Admin URL, is it for that people just not can enter the login screen if they know that is an Umbraco installation. I have seen soultions where you restrict the Umbraco folder to a range of IP address.

    Hi Jonathan

    Don't know if it's the same or if it's become easier or harder with v7 of Umbraco but you can read how we did it on the 24days.in/umbraco site here http://24days.in/umbraco/2012/wrapping-up/ - And why we don't recommend doing the same thing :)
