If I have understood your question correctly then the answer to the question is yes. You can disable some content from the content channel for that new user, and only show some selected content in the content tree.
When you have created your new user type, and created a new user of that type, then you will be able to find the user under the User permissions folder in the user section. In this section you can tick off which content the user should be able to see in the ccontent tree.
Display only selected content pages to particular user
Hi,
I am using Umbraco 7.2.4 version.
I need to show some only some of the Content pages to a particular user. But not able to do that.
What I did is,
I have created a User and also User Type.
Given that new user to new type.
But my confusion is that I couldn't able to find that how to disable some content from the content channel for that new user.
I found that you can set Start node of the content tree.
But not getting how to display only few pages.
Is this possible in Umbraco ?
Any help would be appreciate.
Thanks in advance.

See the screenshots below for an example.
If you have access to the Umbraco TV, there is also a video about the subject http://umbraco.tv/videos/umbraco-v7/content-editor/administrative-content/users/user-permissions/
Hope this helps,

Hi Dennis,
Thanks for the reply.
This is working for some point of view.
But when I am unchecking that Browse Node property for one content page , the whole content tree disappears.
Please check below image.

Hi Urvish,
You need to give access to browse Node property, so the user can see the node. You can see here what the different permissions does https://our.umbraco.org/wiki/reference/umbraco-client/context-menus/permissions
Browse Node Check this box to allow the user to view the details of the selected item in the Content tree.
Hope this helps,
