    Hi guys,

I think this package is the best - https://our.umbraco.org/projects/backoffice-extensions/seo-metadata-for-umbraco/

We used it a lot of times.

    Thanks,

    Alex

    Hi,

if you not afraid of investing some money I can recommend SEO Checker. Worked with it and it's awesome.

The packages are a great help in making sure users enter meta descriptions and page titles etc but to "Implement SEO in Umbraco" is just a matter of building the site properly IMHO.

Follow best practices from Google and Bing, use html5 markup where appropriate and you can't go too far wrong.

    Good point.

I would really like a "go-to" package for all the SEO basics like:

    • Meta & titkle tag management
    • Robots.txt & sitemap.xml management
    • URL & URL redirect management
    • Script placements
    • Canonical / noindex/nofollow tags
    • ... maybe even more sweetness

:) Building ourself is always an option, but would like to prevent 'reinventing the wheel'

    Hi,

as far as I can say these tasks can be handled with SEO Checker. Maybe have a look at the documentation it provides. If it fits than good.

Basic stuff like correct url generation can be handled by yourself when setting up page tree or using custom url provider.

So you only have to do the last bits of tweaking.

    Regards David

The basics that you need are possible with SEOChecker indeed. Just a few clicks and you have configured this.

Also comes with logging inbound links and gives you an overview of all SEO issues on your site.

You can try it free on localhost http://soetemansoftware.nl/seo-checker

    Best,

    Richard
