    using Umbraco as framework

    hi , i want to ask all umbraco experts , is it a good practice to develop an online tutor system like : http://www.tutor.com/ or http://www.profr.org/

    using Umbraco 7 , will it save a development time?

    In theory you can use Umbraco for anything. In saying that I personally believe Umbraco is more suited to content heavy websites.

    The websites you mention look more like SaaS offerings and I probably wouldn't use Umbraco for this.

    Another option would be to use Umbraco for the marketing pages of the website (blog, about us, contact pages) and then a pure asp.net MVC solution for the actual app.

    Hope that helps. Matthew
