All I get is the description of the image and a blank space where the image should appear. I'm using Umbraco 7.2.8

    Cheers,

Hi! Just revisiting this issue because I still haven't managed to get it working.

Does anyone else have this problem?

I've tried the embed button on the editor and all I get is the caption from the photo and a grey instagram logo, not the actual photo.

    O.

Hi, Still having issues with this. Here is a screenshot to see if it helps get an answer at all. If I click the embed button on the editor, enter in the url to embed and then as you can see, I get the photo description but no photo. Any ideas?

    Hi Owain,

I'm not too sure how Instagram works but if I try and visit that link and use the embed code and just paste that into a simple html page... I still get no images. As that's taken Umbraco out of the equation.. that would suggest there's an issue with Instagram?! Have you got some kind of privacy setting on your album?

Hi, cheers for the reply. I've checked my privacy settings and all should be public and accessible. I logged out of instagram and clicked on the link: https://www.instagram.com/p/BFbPlbwIceD/

And I can see the photo without a problem. Very odd and very annoying at the same time.

Just tried the flat HTML and I get the same as you, no image.

Since it's an instagram issue I'll go digging around the web a bit more to find a solution. Thanks for your troubleshooting.

If I find the solution, I'll post it here for someone else if they hit the same problem

The only solution I have found which is a workaround is to put a img tag in with a anchor around it. The image displays and it links back to my account. Not great but at least the image shows now.

    Hello,

We are having this issue as well in our Umbraco 7.4.2 version. We are trying to implement Instagram photos into our site and are getting the instagram embed code, but only the text shows, no images. We tested this on a Wordpress site we have and the images shows up, so I think it's an umbraco image.

Sometimes when I embed an image, it will show up in the embed window, but then when I submit it and look in the RTE, the image has disappeared again.

Has anyone had luck fixing this?

    Thanks!

I have reported the issue: http://issues.umbraco.org/issue/U4-8529

I haven't had time to try and fix the code myself yet. It's annoying.

    Hope this helps.
