I'm trying to find a way to only redirect the parent url on using the UrlRewriting.config file but can't quite seem to get it.
The problem I get is if I have a page www.mydomain.com/newpage/blaa
It also gets redirected.

Do you want to redirect from children node to parent always ?
No the other way around really. If somebody lands on the parent I want to redirect them to another page. The parent page is only a container page.
In the meantime I have used the umbraco redirect reserved name and used a content picker but would like to use the UrlRewriting.config file?
