Hello, old umbraco user here. I made a couple of sites in v3 and v4 a long time ago when I was working as an indie dev, I've messed around with v7 on my dev machine and really like the progress of Umbraco.

I'm currently looking at alternatives for rewriting a rather large site (+100 000 items) and Umbraco is shortlisted because .NET and open source.

Any caveats, tips, recommended reading etc regarding Umbraco v7 running large sites would be greatly appreciated - especially for cache mechanisms, web farm/load balanced setups and stuff like that.

(I have read most of the docs but would like to hear about real life scenarios)
