Use new Umbraco Rest API also in 7.2.8?

Hey guys,

I'm realy exited to use the new REST Api for Content, Media and Members.

Cause I have to install it via nuget, is it possible to already use it under 7.2.8? Or migth there be problems because of the 7.3.0 dependencies?
