    Upgrading Umbraco - Running installer before or after merging custom settings of files ?

    Hi,

    When upgrading Umbraco (version 7+), what custom settings should or must be merged before running the installer? Or is it best practice to first run the installer (for upgrading) and afterwards merge custom settings ?
