For no apparent reason my umbraco config file is having its encoding changed.
The change alters the utf-8 to Western European (ISO) and then destroys the xml inside it. As I currently have to monitor it, I can limit the damage to only the last write and save.
But, I would like to try to eliminate it completely.
Trace Log adds no clues as to the event, but does note the change as it cannot save the xml.
If anyone can add any ideas, suggestions, thoughts, all are welcome.
Will add something quite bizarre, I have Windows 10 in English, but have a Portuguese keyboard, every now and again, the language changes and reverts to English input. This is due to a keyboard shortcut that I hit in error, but I don't know what it is. Could it be remotely possible that a keyboard shortcut could force the encoding change?
