So basically, what are the implications of not keeping Umbraco bang up to date? Currently, we're using 7.2.4 and in terms of functionality, it does everything we need. Our problem, we currently have over 40 sites using it so the thought up updating all of those sites is a little daunting.
Moving forward, are there any security implications that staying at that version may cause?
Biggest issue I have is that as the latest version gets farther away from the installed version, little config changes and things get added to the builds so upgrading becomes incrementally trickier. I feel like it is way easier to just do it as they come out.
Is there any real reason to upgrade?

Just my 2 cents...
