I have a website where the nodes with public access sometimes is losing the restriction one the nodes, Then I have to Recycle the AppPool to get the restriction back (public access).
In the app_data folder there is access.config file so when you set access it writes to this file. Do you have this file and does it have anyhting in it. Also when access is lost is that file gone as well?
Yes I have the file and the file hos not changed when the public access is lost, so when I have recycled the app pool the public access is back. I have setup up write access for ISS_User to the file, and I can change the Public access in Umbraco.
Perhaps you are seen this issue, http://issues.umbraco.org/issue/U4-6247 could you add your comments in there, if you think that is the same issue that you have.
