A user only has editor authority to a content sub-site and a media child folder.
The user can access the media child folder when using the media picker in a document type.
The user cannot access the media child folder when using the Media Editor in the Grid Layout. The side panel displays with the Media link and the + sign to add another folder but the child folder does not display.
Still have this problem, which is now preventing the site from becoming operational.
An additional piece of information. When the Media Editor in the Grid Layout is clicked and the side panel is displayed, only the Media link and the + sign are displayed; not the child folder that is authorised. But, briefly, as the side panel first appears, {(item.name)} is displayed after Media /.
Hope this helps you give me a clue as to what is going wrong here.

This problem is occurring because I am choosing a grandchild folder in Media for the user to access.
If I choose a child folder of Media for the user to access, it works.
Is this by design or is there a bug?
