Where to start - need to setup Umbraco with windows auth for intranet
Help!
Ive been all over the net reading blog posts, videos over on pluralsight.com etc and I still cant seem to find everything I need in one place and geared toward the current version 7. Im trying to setup Umbraco with windows authentication. I just want to automatically log in the user who is visiting the site because its an intranet and im using windows authentication. Im a C# developer and I know MVC etc, but Im just not sure what pieces I need or where to add the code.
Is there an example somewhere of adding the extra steps to make Umbraco work with windows auth?
I would love to know where to start with this too. Everything I have found seems to be geared to older version of Umbraco or just for the backoffice.
Essentially all I want to be able to accomplish is to have the front end know who is viewing it and be able to customise their experience based on that. This really shouldn't be as hard as it seems to be.
