Can we have a lighter version of Umbraco which can be readily deployed to AWS Lambda and Azure Functions?
there are lots of applications which doesnt need a dedicated instance/server to run a website.
a simpler, headless cms would be a great option for the market
A headless version is already in the making, and will be available on umbraco Cloud later this year. There are no (official) plans for a slim version.
it should be deployable to azure, aws and other containers else whats the point? how could that be extended as per requirement
You would have to ask Umbraco HQ about that. There are no plans to have Umbraco Headless outside Umbraco Cloud
