    Error messages

I am very new to Umbraco and have been using it to set up a site which has not been properly launched. I have not been active for some months. When I logged in today I see that there has been an upgrade from 7 to 8. When I try to access my site content now, I get a red screen with numerous request error messages: The URL returned a 404 (not found): /~/1267.

Is this because of the upgrade, and if so, what do I need to do to remedy this? If not, what do I do to resolve this? Sorry to be so basic.

Any help would be much appreciated.

When I logged in today I see that there has been an upgrade from 7 to 8

What exactly do you mean by that?

Do you mean that the site you were working on has been upgraded to Umbraco 8? If so, how did you determine it's been upgraded to Umbraco 8?

Or do you mean that there was a message indicating that you can upgrade to Umbraco 8 (i.e., an upgrade is available)?

There is a pretty big difference between Umbraco 7 and Umbraco 8. Umbraco 8 isn't really released yet either.

Did somebody upgrade your installation prematurely?

    Thanks for the reply Nicholas.

I have no idea if its 7 or 8. The error messages appear whenever I try to access my content for the site. I thought the upgrade had something to do with this as I've never experienced it before. Clearly, if the upgrade hasn't been done, then it has nothing to do with it.

I'm not concerned about the upgrade but the error messages which mean I cannot edit or change my content.
