Going to building logistic System using Umbraco CMS.

Here I have a question Regarding Umbraco CMS

    1. Document Library being exposed to external Client. Is it true?

    2. Can we create Database Driven solution using Umbraco CMS?

    3. Configuration files too fragile. Is it possible?

Client going to buy Enterprise Version for Umbraco.

Which Umbraco Version is best for building a large logistic System?

    Hi Nilesh,

    To answer your questions ....

Document Library being exposed to external Client. Is it true?

Yes by default the media is exposed publicly. With that said though there is a really good package to add security to media to make them only accessible to members.

    Media Protect https://soetemansoftware.nl/media-protect#:~:text=Media%20protect%20for%20Umbraco,files%20will%20be%20password%20protected.

Can we create Database Driven solution using Umbraco CMS?

Yes 100%. Umbraco is fully expandable and you can create your own database driven functionality. Umbraco itself is build using SQL Server.

Configuration files too fragile. Is it possible?

I am not sure what you mean here.

Client going to buy Enterprise Version for Umbraco.

I am not sure what you mean here. Umbraco is free and open source. They don't really have an Enterprise version.

Which Umbraco Version is best for building a large logistic System?

For a system like this I would probably wait for Umbraco 9 which is right around the corner. This is built on .Net Core. It would be a great advantage if you had a little time to wait for the .Net core version.

I have been trailing the beta releases and it is just small bugs they are fixing. I do not think it will be long before V9 is production ready.

    Hope this helps.

    Regards

    David
