Any ideas on what is going on here? ModelsBuilder mode is set to "Nothing" as we don't want to use ModelsBuilder (and it can't currently be disabled it seems)
Were you able to find a solution for this? I think I changed a document type alias while it was still being used in a nested content data type, now the site won't run or build.
Here is how I fixed this if anyone else runs into the problem.
This problem started because I was referencing a document type property in a view that no longer existed. This error however didn't show itself until I generated new models from the settings page.
When I generated new models, this deleted all the model classes under /umbraco/models (I'm using Umbraco 10). I started receiving errors for all the models I was referencing in the views folder when I tried to run the project.
To fix this, I moved the views folder out of the project and was able to run Umbraco again. I then went to settings and generated the models. Once this was complete, I put the views folder back in place and found the property error when running the project again.

I am also facing exact same problem. In my case I have ModelMode set to AppData and ModelDirectory to App_Code/Models as per this article https://our.umbraco.com/documentation/Umbraco-Cloud/Set-Up/Working-Locally/Working-With-Visual-Studio/#using-modelsbuilder-and-intellisense
However It does not build in my local environment and give this error -
Don't know how to map ModelType with content type alias "blockSliderSettings".

Thanks.
Same thing here, Nested Content pointed to a doc type that I had renamed. Thanks a lot!
