Tab Hider Medium Trust: does it exist?

    Hy guys,

I'm not a developer but a simple web designer user of umbraco.

I need to know if anyone knows a "tab hider" which is compatible with medium trust. I found very good tab hider projects in umbraco community, but all of them required full trust.

    Thanks in advance!!

Hi Eleonora and welcome to our :)

I don't think such a version exists - but what are your reasons for running medium trust? Is it because you're using shared hosting like GoDaddy or something similar? No chance of converting to running full trust?

    /Jan

Hi Jan, thanks for your answer!

Yes, my problem is exactly what you say: the provider I use (Aruba, is an italian one) allows only medium trust. I made the error to buy an hosting before knowing the requirement of medium/full trust and as a result I found several problems.

In few words: I have to hide a tab "SEO" (containing meta tags) to a group of users... is there an alternative way to fix this problem, although not necessarily using a umbraco package?

    Thank you!

    Hi Eleonora

What verison of Umbraco are you using? Just need to know since it's probably something that can be achieved in different ways depending on the version of Umbraco you're using.

Not sure I know how to do it though - But might be useful unformation for others who have an idea about how to do it.

    /Jan
