    When?

Just wondering about the the go live date for umbraco as a service. I provided my email address here: http://umbraco.com/future and have not heard anything. As we have well and truly passed Q1 I'm just wondering what is going on? Is this service for sale yet? If not, can I get an update on when it will be?

    many thanks

Perhaps something will be revealed at CG14? If you're not attending make sure to follow the #CG14 hashtag on Twitter - I'm eagering to learn more as well.

    Hi Allan,

If you havenĀ“t seen it jet, you could try to see the Keynote from this year Codegarden 14. In the keynote Niels speaks a little about Umbraco as a service, or umbraco.com, as it should be named :-)

You can find the key node there. http://stream.umbraco.org/video/9918428/umbraco-codegarden-14-keynote

If you see the schedule for Codegarden 14, you can see there is a session called, 500 brands, Umbraco-as-a-Service... that calls for a Carlsberg!, but at the moment, I couldn't find the video for that session, I might have overlooked this one.

The videos, for this year Codegarden, and from other years are available here: http://stream.umbraco.org/

    Hope this can help you.

    /Dennis

    Hi

Yes, I actually did see the Keynote, which is what made me even more excited. It still leaves me with the original question: when?

As did I. Very much looking forward to it, but it has to be right. Considering the intent is to host production websites, if it's a bit ropey, it will be a non-starter. I can understand the delays.

Bump. I could really use it, like now.

    Oh, and nice markdown editor.

I saw the keynote too and it seems very good. If it's $19, I want it!

If you want this to be stable, the delays are understandable but we need to know 2 things to plan accordingly:

    1. When?

    2. And most importantly, if you can't answer number 1, can we move a site from on-premise to the umbraco.com later?

    Thanks

An update would be appreciated since it's still planned for Q1 2014 on http://umbraco.com/future
