    Webshop

    Hi,

I'm using Umbraco 7.1.3 and i have an excisting website. Now i want to add a page with a webshop. Anyone knows a good package for this? I tried ucommerce but when it is installed it doesn't add features on the left or no nodes.

    Hi Maxim,

uCommerce should add a new app icon to the menu strip, but will not add new content to your content tree by default.

Catalogs and products are kept in the uCommerce section and brought into your templates where appropriate. This should ensure that you don't have to make any changes to your existing IA.

I'm happy to help you get up and running with uCommerce.

The simplest is to ask assistance in the uCommerce forum at http://our.umbraco.org/projects/website-utilities/ucommerce/ucommerce-support

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Maxim,

A very easy way to change from SQLCE to a MSSQL, is to use the tool webmatrix.

First you need to download webmatrix, and install it, efter done that you need also to need setup a database in MSSQL. Once that you has done that you can right click the folder containing your Umbraco solution and then launch it using webmatrix.

In the lower left corner in the webmatrix interface you can select database - Then browse to the SQLCE database, it´s located in the \App_Data folder after that a "migrate button" will appear in the upper menu options. By pressing that button a migrate dialogue appears asking for connection details to the MSSQL database that  you have created..

    I hope this helps,

    /Dennis

    Hi Maxim,

Sorry for the late answer, I was on a train to Copenhagen to join Codengarden in the next couple of days.

The SQLCE database is located in the folder called App_Data, there is a file called Umbraco.sdf, and that is the SQLCE database.

    Hope this helps,

    /Dennis

    Hi Maxim,

    I would highly recommend uWebshop.

    http://uwebshop.com/

    http://our.umbraco.org/projects/website-utilities/uwebshop2

We have used this package successfully with few stores like :

    https://www.66north.com/

    http://www.worldclass.is/

    http://www.michelsen.is/en

We really love this package and without it we would never have done e-commerce solutions with Umbraco.

We have not found anything that this package could not handle and the support is amazing !

    Best regards

    Gardar
