    UaaS Azure Hosting Location

Hello. We are getting ready to build a large corporate website on Umbraco, and we are in the trial of Umbraco as a Service. The service itself looks great, but the location of the servers are a concern for us, as from what I have seen, UaaS is currently hosted exclusively from an Azure data center in the Netherlands.

We are a US-based company, and it will be important to us to have servers located in the US. Are there plans to bring in additional Azure data centers onto UaaS? Is it, or will it be possible to request an alternate data center location for a particular UaaS account?

    Thanks.

Not in the near future. We recommend people to use services like CloudFlare right now for a more local cached versions of their site if the extra performance is critical. That said, the NFL is happily using UaaS and have not had a need for a datacenter in the US.

For more info about CloudFlare, Troy Hunt has been writing about this, for example in this post: https://www.troyhunt.com/its-a-new-blog/

Thanks for the reply. I had started looking at CloudFlare as a possible solution for this; good to know that it is in fact a recommended approach.
