    UaaS and country specific SEO

    Hi,

    I'd love to use Umbraco as a service for a client but they have concerns regading the Azure Datacentre being in the Netherlands and the impact this will have on their Google.co.uk page positions.

    They had previously noticed a drop in SERP position when the site targeting UK customers was hosted on a server in Madrid and are reluctant to move their hosting outside of the UK again.

    Can anyone provide any guidance please? Is Uaas out of the question for this reason?

    I don't think it should be a problem as long as you set the target in the Google Search console:

    I did some reading and the word on the streets is as you say to use Google Search console to target the country.
