    Hardened Umbraco - cloud

What exactly is a "hardened umbraco" as an option that is available on azure?

It's a term Azure uses (although relevant for Umbraco, not Umbraco specific) and is about security.

Microsoft Azure allows multiple access methods and management capabilities. A dedicated hardened workstation runs only required services and applications and may have restricted network access to only what is needed to perform tasks at hand.

Thanks Micha. Are you aware of any documentation/links referencing this?

It's a bit fuzzy, but hopefully the following links give an idea of what's involved in hardening :

(search for "harden" on the page/document to find relevant pieces)
