Migrate from Umbraco Cloud to self-hosted solution
Hi guys,
We have a little weird situation with budgeting in a project and would like to move an Umbraco website from Umbraco Cloud to a basic self-hosted Umbraco site.
However, it shouldn't (I say this as I've not tried it), be too difficult.
I would start by getting the live site running locally on your machine but not using SQLCE or LocalDB for the database, make sure you use full SQL.
Once you've got it running, you effectively have your site locally and should be able to put that same site on your self hosted server. You'll also want to remove Umbraco Deploy, as that technology only works with Umbraco Cloud. Id start looking at alternatives like USync and Courier to replace the Deploy functionality.
If you are using Umbraco Forms, you will need to purchase a license I believe, as Umbraco Cloud comes with one but I don't believe it transfers out.
You might be able to get additional help/advice from the Cloud support team :-)

Is there any guide on how to do this?
Many thanks, Andrei
Hi Adrei,
I've not seen any guides for it I'm afraid.
