We are currently hosting our CMS on azure and are looking at more effective ways of deploying development work to this site.
Currently our dev site is hosted internally on servers but we are looking to use Courier to deploy to the azure site.
Does anyone have any feedback on how 'doable', 'paifull' this could be.
We are also needing to upgrade our live instance as it is currently a few releases behind the dev environment - will this be possible using Courier, or will only Content / Media / Doctype and Template(s) be modified?
Umbraco Courier redefines the Umbraco deployment process giving you the power to deploy your website changes using only a right click.
Courier compares and transfers your content, document types, templates, media, media types, macros, CSS, images, and scripts, without you having to lift more than one finger.
To be able to use Courier you need to run the same version of Courier on all your environments. The same goes for the version of your Umbraco installation.
So the first step is to ensure that you have the same version of Umbraco and Courier on all your environments.
