    Using courier for content transfer

    1. When using Courier for synchronising two environments: a. It appears that courier takes care of all content changes b. It looks like, we are better off doing a normal MVC code deployment first and then using courier just to sync the content. Is this the correct approach to do it?
    2. Will Courier take care of transferring custom data types as well?
    3. Does Courier support backward synchronization (from production to UAT)?
    4. Will courier work if the source site is http and the destination site is https?
    5. We will have the following four environments: a. Development b. Testing c. Pre-production d. Production How many paid licenses do we need for courier?
    6. Following on from the previous point, we plan to have domain names for these environments on the lines of: a. Dev.website.com b. Test. Website.com c. Preprod.Website.com d. www.website.com I read in an Umbraco forum post that with such domain names Courier has a problem. https://our.umbraco.org/forum/getting-started/installing-umbraco/2926-Courier-License-and-Domain Is that true? Will courier work in our case?
