I have purchased Umbraco Forms but am having some problems with the installation which seems to have only partially completed.
I can create a definition of a form and save it but when I go to add the form into a page using the add macro option as described in this video I do not see that option in the toolbar.
What am I doing wrong?
I have tried installing the Forms package manually. I am not 100% sure that all the steps have worked correctly. Are these instructions the ones I should be following despite it saying Contour?
I tried running the SQL script to create the tables but it failed saying that the [cmsMacroPropertyType] table did not exist.
Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
Thank you for your reply. I'm not sure I fully understand where to look.
Under settings, there is a folder called "document types" but I'm not sure which specific one to look for. Under all the ones I've looked under, I can't see any settings for "rich textbox".
Regarding the macro option in the RTE, can you check the Richtext editor Data type on the developer tab and check that the 'Macro' tickbox is selected?
It seems that if the macro button is showing up in the toolbar for most document types with the exception of one called "advanced component grid layout section".
Unfortunately this was the only document type that I was trying as I wanted to use this to create a two column layout; text on the left hand side and form on the right.
Insert form not appearing in rich text editor

Hi Sagar,

Hi Dominic,
Regarding the macro option in the RTE, can you check the Richtext editor Data type on the developer tab and check that the 'Macro' tickbox is selected?
Hi Kerri,
Thank you for your post. Unfortunately I don't seem to have a "Macro" option, instead I have a "umbmacro" one.
I have checked that option previously but it still doesn't show up.
What version of umbraco and forms are you using?
Under help it reads:
And when I click on Forms it says:
Can you go to your Data type for your RTE and make sure you have macro enabled?
Then this will let you choose the macro and then the correct form.
Hi MarcC.
Thank you for your reply but I don't have that option. See the reply that I made to Kerri with a screenshot.
Thanks again.
What version of umbraco are you running Dominic?
Under help it reads:
Did you upgrade to this version or is this a clean umb install for 7.3.7?
M
i've a 7.3 project and it has the same:
On the RTE it looks like this with the new style icon:
can you select it again, save and check?

Hi,
Thank you all for your help.
It seems that if the macro button is showing up in the toolbar for most document types with the exception of one called "advanced component grid layout section".
Unfortunately this was the only document type that I was trying as I wanted to use this to create a two column layout; text on the left hand side and form on the right.
Many, many thanks again.
