maybe you could checkout your SMTP-logs if the e-mail has passed there, but there's no OOTB solution for this.
An alternative we've developed a while ago is the PerplexMail-package (https://our.umbraco.org/projects/backoffice-extensions/perplexmail-for-umbraco/). It's a mailpackage that could be attached to your Umbraco Forms-workflow to send e-mails, configure your e-mailsettings and most of all has a statistics-page where you can see which e-mails were sent when, to whom, and what the content of the mail was. Installation takes a few clicks and configuring the e-mail shouldn't take more than a few minutes.

I am using the Send xslt transformed email workflow in Umbraco Forms. Is there any way to find out if the SendEmail was successful or not?
