I had a friend (developer) set up my Umbraco website. He has been quite helpful in the past, however, for the 3 months I have not been receiving emails from the contact form on my website.
I am not a developer, but I have been unable to reach my developer friend who set it up and I am losing business due to my lack of response to queries.
Can anyone help me check (if I have the permissions) to check the setup of the form and see what is going on. My email service provider has checked their side and said the issue must be on Umbraco.
I am not trained in using Umbraco, but perhaps if it is not too complex someone could walk me through looking up whether the correct email address is assigned to the form.
In the past there was an issue where an error message came up on the website as soon as clients hit the "send" button on the form; however, that was sorted out and for a while I received emails. Then about 2 weeks later I stopped receiving any emails from my website, although the website page no longer has the error message pop up, it now proceeds to the "thank you for your message" page - and it seems all is well - but I never receive the email.
I don't know what to do anymore, I have had no response from the developer from emails, short messages, or phone calls to him. I don't know if he is just too busy, or doesn't feel like dealing with my issues and is deliberately ignoring my calls . But if I cannot get this issue sorted I will have to scrap this website on Umbraco and move to Weebly or something I can set up on my own.
Sorry to hear that you canĀ“t get in touch with your developer. The first thing to check would be that the email is sent to the right email address, your email address.
You can go to workflows, there you will see a send email workflow. In this you can see which email that the mail is going to.
