Can we integrate Microsoft Team for creating conference?

This feature requires conferencing setup for both organizing and registrations by emails notifications before conference starts as already scheduled by the organizer on Microsoft Teams or best possible option acceptable within organization security. There must be a place to register First Name, Last Name and working Email Address. One participant/presenter must be able to register a maximum of 10 participants.

Participants would get a notification through their email to confirm registration automatically, then a schedule meeting calendar sent to their Outlook account calendar where they will be able to accept the meeting conference/webinar. The meeting link would be part of the email notification sent and appear within the text in the calendar notice for ease of joining the meeting. Participants would have an option to cancel meeting participation on or before 24 hours before the meeting starts. There must also be an automatic email reminder one hour before the conference start time. All participants must be automatically disabled to unmute and video, but text would be active. Only presenter would have full control.

Participants would also have the option to view up-coming conferences and schedule in advance, if already confirmed by the organizer. After attending the conference/webinar, all participants would get a link to the recording that is locked for viewing online by only participants who attended using their email address and confirmation email to play only online.

Lastly, all participants must be automatically stored within an accessible and downloadable database for future events and educational/research surveys.

    1. Can we build something like this using Umbraco Heartcore/Umbraco Cloud?
    2. Can we integrate Microsoft Team and Outlook calendar with Umbraco?

    Looking forward to feedback.

    Thanks

    Hi there.

You can do it with both products, however, the approach would be different.

Heartcore is a content hub that you can use to fetch the content and media from or send them to. The entire logic of your application together with any integrations etc. needs to be to a decoupled frontend hosted separately.

When it comes to a standard Cloud project then you can also do all of the above but then it would be a normal website and not a headless app.

Given that you want access to the DB then you can't go with Heartcore as that's a SaaS product and you don't have access to it.

You do with a normal Cloud project, though.

    Thanks Lindow

Is there any document or reference links so I can follow that and study that?

I'm a bit unsure what exactly you would like to study as your use case covers a very broad area of web dev and a lot of the topics you've mentioned aren't specific to Umbraco.

I recommend starting with our documentation here - https://our.umbraco.com/documentation/

There's also a bunch of videos on youtube :)
