    Removing contour killed UI trees

    Hi All,

Something has drastically gone wrong with my Umbraco installtion when removing it via the packages.

I read through the manual for unistalling guide which I followed and when I removed the package I have lost the entire tree for every single section eg all content nodes, media, members, settings the lot!!!

But the site is still working??

Any idea what would of gone wrong?

    Thanks

    Tom

    Hi Tom & Bob

What version of umbraco are you using?

Could you ensure that all contour bits are removed, look in the database under umbracoAppTrees and remove everything related to contour, also remove any references to contour in the /umbraco/config/create/ui.xml file , everything that references umbraco.forms.ui namespace

    /Per

    Hi Per,

I'm using Umbraco 4.0.3 I checked everything above and the only thing being referenced was in the UI, I've removed this and still no joy.

    Thanks

    Tom

And the contour dll's are removed from the /bin as well? , can't really think of much else that would affect the trees then :(

I had the same problem and I just replaced the ajaxcontroltoolkit.dll, because the version of the ajaxcontroltoolkit of contour was different than the one from umbraco.

aslo you need to change the web.config for that dll.

    Ali,

You are a super star, that worked!!!!

It seems that if you uninstall contour it removes the AjaxControlToolkit.dll killing the trees

    I owe you one.
