Is it possible to add a friendly displayname to Email Addresses?

I know I can create a cutomworkflow to suit my needs, but wondered if the contour core, or umbraco core had built in support..

eg 

<notifications>

      <!-- the email that should be used as from mail when umbraco sends a notification -->

      <email>[email protected] &gt;Email Service&lt;</email>

    </notifications>

and in contour specifying as [email protected] <My User>; [email protected] <Another User>

???????
