    Hi Mike,

Haven tried using the field mapper on a field type, only on workflow types, can you tell me what you are going to use the fieldmapper for ?

    Cheers,
    Tim

I would like to use it to select another field to compare this field to... (trying to implement a compare validator)

    Hi Mike,

Then you'll need to use a fieldpicker not the mapper  (Umbraco.Forms.Core.FieldSetting.FieldPicker)

    Cheers,

    Tim

Thanks, although probably why I didn't use that is it's not mentioned in the documentation... (developer docs.pdf  - 1.1) is that a new one for 1.1.3?

Whilst I have you do you also happen to have updated sample Contour.SharedSource that includes the DefaultValue functionality?

Just tried the fieldPicker with similar results to FieldMapper.
