    Upgraded to 4.6.1 now not sending emails?

    I had a 4.5.2 install with contour installed, I upgraded it to 4.6.1 and everything seems to be working fine - However, the workflow will no longer send an email?

    The form submissions are being received in the entries section, just the email will not send? I have tried reinstalling contour but it that has done nothing... I have checked the umbracolog table and there is nothing in there related to email sending or contour?

    Did anything change in v4.6 to sending emails and contour? I have checked that umbraco.library.sendmail() is working via a seperate macro and it is?

    Completely stumped?

    Just to post the solution for the next person with this problem (as we already found the solution via Twitter):

    • Check the mailserver settings in the web.config
    • Make sure the "from" address is correct in the umbracoSettings.config (probably overwritten during upgrade).

    As above, it was the 'from' address... My SMTP server will not send from unauthenticated domains, so was not sending the email.
