After you buy the license you can set two domain names for that license: the live server's domain name (domain.com) AND a developer domain name (mysite.dev or whatever). Additionally, you can even always use domain.com.local as well (so your live server's domain with ".local" added).
Just fyi the only limitation in trail mode is that the record values aren't stored (contour will store 'is running in trail mode' for every value) for the rest it's fully functional
@Tim: Yes I have fiddled with Contour in trial mode. But any value stored as "is running in trial mode" pi**** me off :p That's why I want to order a licence.
@ Sebastiaan: I think that assigning a fake domain name via Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts and registering it when ordering Contour is a good tip to know :p
Using contour on localhost only
I'd like to purchase a licence of Contour for local development purposes only.
I do not see any other option than registering my licence to localhost. To be honest doing this seems weird.
Is there any other tip I might be ignorant of?
Thanks in advance.
R.
