Is there really any need to have id's like this?
ctl03$rpFieldsets$ctl00$rpFields$ctl04$5b0b8b9c_c006_4e83_8f37_1549292f0f18
Why not allow us to specifiy our own id's.
This results in stupidly long names which bloat the html page and also ugly code when working with fields in jQuery.
No doubt this lunacy is something to do with Microsoft and it's .net framework.
In .NET 4.0 you can have shorter id's: http://www.dotnetcurry.com/ShowArticle.aspx?ID=492, but the name fields will stay long. This is only in ASP.NET Web Forms. In MVC I think the id's will be normal and Umbraco 5 is based on MVC.
