    Installation problem: Web.Config could not be updated

    Hi guys

    I just tried to install Contour (1.1.12) on a v4.7.1.1 instance of Umbraco.

    After installing I get this error:

    • web.config could not be updated +
      System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at Umbraco.Forms.UI.Usercontrols.Installer.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e)

    IUSR and Network service have full permissions...don't know if other users should be granted access?

    I suppose it's just a matter of updating the web.config manually but I'm unsure what and where to update.

    So what should I do to make sure everything is allright?

    It's outlined in the installation guide found on the contour project page

    But think the web.config changes are obsolete (was in case umb was running in a .net framework 2 app pool)

    So you should be all set, the only other update that might come in handy is updating the max json length (if you get a failed to save form error)
