'Send Email' workflow sending to wrong address when two submit at same time.

We seemed to have encountered and issue with the ‘Send Email’ workflow in contour. I have trawled the forums for similar issue but no luck.

We have had a few instances of users entering a competition at exactly the same time (down to the second). In these cases we have had complaints of uses getting the wrong details.

    Example:

    Name: User 1
    Email: [email protected]
    Submitted: 2012-05-09T19:06:02

     Name: User 2
    Email: [email protected]
    Submitted: 2012-05-09T19:06:02

We have had an instance of the following email being sent to [email protected]:

    ----

    Hello, User1.

Thanks for entering our competition, remember to check back again soon for
new competitions. We'll let you know after the closing date if you've been
lucky enough to win this time.

    *Name: *User2
    *Email: *[email protected]

Perhaps the ‘Send Email’ workflow is getting fired after the second User submits and those details are getting sent to the first user. Obviously this is within sub-seconds.

    Regards,

    Adam

Wich version of Contour + Umbraco are you running? + How does it look in the records viewer, are the records mixed up there or are they fine?

    Thanks for the reply Tim.

We are running Umbraco 4.7.1.1 and Contour 1.1.10

The entries are fine in the record viewer. They have exactly the same time stamp.

    Hope you can help

    Hi Tim,

We're still getting this email cross-wired issue. It happens when the from is getting hit heavily ie. when our client runs an email campaign.

We're getting a bit of pressure from this. I suppose we could patch it up with an email check against the one in the email body. If they don't match we would not send a confirmation email. Not ideal but it will get us around any data protection trust issues.

    Do you have any ideas?

    Adam

Has anyone else come across an issue like this? Our client has received a customer complaint on the issue and has had to refer it to their legal team. Unfortunately they received a different users details when they submitted the form.

Any help or guidance would be really appreciated, we've disabled the email triggers for now and have started looking into a work around, we've not however been able to replicate it.
