We have a need on our new Umbraco site to "protect" assets, such as PDF's, videos, etc., with a form. In other words, when a user requests a certain media file, they should be directed to a form instead of directly to the file (unless they've filled it out already in which case we can use a cookie to let them through). This seems like something fairly common to accomplish on a site-- has anyone out there done something like this, using Contour or not? Limiting access to a media file instead of a page?
I haven't worked at all with the Umbraco permissions model so I thought I'd just throw the question out there before I start trying to reinvent the wheel.
Protecting Assets with Forms?
Hi,
We have a need on our new Umbraco site to "protect" assets, such as PDF's, videos, etc., with a form.
Thanks in advance,
Garrett
