    Getting rid of the default "Please fill out this field".

    Contour

    Hi there,

    Not sure if i'm missing something but for some reason I cannot get rid of default required message:

    Please fill out this field.

    Any idea?

    Hi mkariti

    Has the specific field been set to be required when you built the form? And is it contour 3 you've been using?

    Hi Jan,

    Yes its contour 3 and yes some fields are requied. I did try to put my required message but with no success.

    Hi "Please fill out this field" isn't the default message so it's probably already overwritten somewhere, can you check the form settings and the individual field settings?

    We've had this issue, but got round it by clearing the the two "... error message" text boxes in the Settings tab under the Validation section, after this our custom messages for each field displayed correctly.

    Any custom required/error messages on fields seem to be overridden if there are default messages set - is this a bug?
